AT&T’s Cricket Wireless has revealed pricing and availability for its version of the Samsung Galaxy S6. The Android flagship will be available at Cricket stores and cricketwireless.combeginning April 24 for $649.99. That’s the same price that Boost Mobile is charging for its S6, which has been available since April 10.
To ease the sticker shock slightly Cricket is offering a couple of easy payment plans. Customers with good credit can get the Galaxy S6 with 24 month financing and a $19.99 initial payment. There’s also a 90 days same-as-cash payment option with a $49.99 initial payment and no credit check. The payment plans are only available at Cricket stores, not online.
The S6 is decidedly high-end phone. It features a 5.1″ Quad HD Super AMOLED screen with 2560 x 1440 px resolution, an eight core 2.1 Ghz 64 bit processor, 3 GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory and 16 MP rear and 5 MP front facing cameras.
Unlike all previous Galaxy S models it doesn’t have a removable battery or a SD card slot. If those features are important to you, S5 prices are dropping. Or wait for LG’s soon to be released G4 which has both along with other specs equal or better than those of the S6.
